Toyama Prefecture is located roughly equidistant from the three metropolitan centers of Japan: Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya. With a network of expressways in place, travel time between Toyama and such cities is greatly reduced. In addition to domestic flights to Tokyo and Sapporo international service is also provided to major cities in the Sea of Japan region such as Seoul, Vladivostok, Dalian, and Shanghai.

It takes 15 minutes on foot from the JR Toyama Station to the Conference Center. You can see a row of cherry trees on the way and the Tateyama mountains as you walk to the Conference Center. It takes 15 minutes from Toyama Airport by car. When you stand at the front of the airport, you can see the picturesque Tateyama Mountain Range, if the weather is clear. In the surrounding area buses are available. There are street cars in the city too.
