4.2 Other IERS Related Technical Development Activities
Next Generation VLBI System (Hitoshi Kiuchi)
In developing new VLBI data acquisition system for astronomical
applications, it is the most important to take into consideration
the requirement of the multi-bit sampling, the high-speed (wide-band)
data sampling. We are developing a new sampling system for K-4 data
recorder: its sampling rate is increased to 2 (or 4) Gsps, 8-bit quantization.
The block diagram is shown in Fig.7. We are developing a real time VLBI
system for the KSP system, which is shown in Fig.8.
