The earth seems to rotate at a constant speed; however, the earth’s movement and its position are changing slightly. This uneven movement represents a difference of only a few centimeters from the earth’s normal position, but this phenomenon makes it difficult to determine the direction of moving objects in space and to measure the exact location of these objects. Our group is researching an observation system that continuously monitors the earth’s rotation and orientation.
