Q3 Why are parabolic antennas painted white?
A3
Sunbeams reflect off white objects;
thus, parabolic antennas are able to avoid absorbing heat from the sun.

If parabolic antennas were black, sunbeams would not reflect off them, and they would absorb the heat. Absorbed heat causes a deforming of the antenna by expanding its material, making it difficult to accurately focus radio waves.
