Near 100 participants from approximately 30 countries made a fruitful discussion
during the UN/ESA/NASA workshop on BBS and IHY (2007/06/18-22). The UN
Office of Outer Space Affairs sent certificates to Dr. Yoshihide Kozai,
Dr. Tomokazu Kogure, and Dr.@Masatoshi Kitamura for their contributions
to the astronomical space science promotion of their developing countries.
And Dr. Mutsuo Ishizuka, Dr. Hiroyoshi Tanabe, Dr. Keizou Nishi, Dr. Eijiro,
Dr. Masami Wada received certificates of the IGY Gold Club Member.

Report on the IHY UN/NASA Workshop (Bangalore, India)
The 2nd UN/NASA Workshop on basic Space Science was held in Bangalore,
India during 2006/11/27-12/01. Prof. Sakurai (NAO), Prof. Yumoto (SERC,
Kyushu Univ.), Dr. Ueno (Kyoto Univ.), attended this meeting from Japan.
In the meeting, there were sessions on IHY Overview, Photosphere, Chromosphere
and Transition Region, Solar Coronal, Interplanetary Space, Magnetosphere,
and so on. The next meeting is planned for Tokyo, Japan in Jun, 2007.
