The022th KARC Colloquium
The022th KARC Colloquium was ended. Thank you for the participation.
Date&Time | February 20th, 2003 Thursday 15:00 -16:00 |
Place | The Small Conference Room, the 1st Research Building, 2nd FL. |
Lecturer | "Laser cooling and Trapping of Neutral Atom - for precise measurement using atoms and experimental work of quantum condensed phase system-" |
Speaker | Dr. Mitsutaka Kumakura Research assistant at Kyoto University, Faculty of Science |
Abstract | Ultracold atomic ensembles obtained by laser cooling are interesting study objects with characters of small space distribution and slow speed which enable the precise measurement using atoms and research in the state of quantum degenerate. In the lecture, laser cooling experiments for searching of the atoms’ permanent electric dipole moment and Bose-Einstein condensation research, both currently taking places at the speaker’s research laboratory, will be introduced. |
