Lecturer “Tutorial: Information ststistics of human performance and reaction time”
Speaker Toshio Inui, Ph.D.
Department of Intelligence Science and Technology,Graduate School of Informatics,Kyoto University
Abstract Performance and reaction time are the only indices that we can obtain in a behavioral experiment. For an easier task, the reaction time is shorter. In a tachistoscopic visual experiment, the performance goes up as the presentation time of the stimulus gets longer. The mechanism underlying such natural properties of the phenomenon is modeled from a viewpoint of time-series analysis. Moreover, a new technique of data analysis based on this model is also introduced.
