This paper describes recent activities with respect to exposure assessment method of the
incident power density (PD) above 6 GHz when wireless devices such as the 5 th generation
mobile communication system (5G) used in close proximity to the head and body. These
works have been jointly done by the International Electrotechnical Committee (IEC) and the
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Firstly, definitions of the PD are
