Meanwhile, recently reported studies related to FDC system have focused on micro-cells since they have a wide consensus that the large transmission power of BSs (Base Stations) in macro-cells increases self-interference and degrades performance. In this paper, we propose a DDC (Dynamic-Duplex Cellular) system that enables FD in the current LTE macro-cell and enhances communication capacity by a PFS (Proportional Fairness Scheduling)-based scheme with appropriate power control of BS and UE. Performance of the proposed DDC system is evaluated by system level simulation for dynamically adding UL (Uplink) communications to DL (Downlink) subframes under the macro-cell environment defined in the 3GPP documents. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed DDC scheme can increase UL user throughput without degrading DL user throughput while maintaining the fairness with regard to individual UE throughput.
