OL band bias-free high-speed UTC-PD for advanced optical fiber communications

In this report, we present an OL band high-baud-rate UTC photodetector excluding a bias
circuit, which can be operated at zero bias. The measured responsivity over 0.13 A/W was
fully covered in the range (OL), and the 100 Gbaud (NRZ) good eye diagram performances
were confirmed at 0 V for wavelengths of 1320 nm and 1550 nm.
