  1. Basic Framework

    A user's agreement is required in order to use the EDR Dictionary. The different types of user's agreements are given below. For further details regarding these agreement, please contact EDR at edr_info@jsa.co.jp.
    • Basic User's Agreement ... Rights to use the EDR Dictionary for research and/or in product development
      • EDR Dictionary can be used for users own purposes.
      • User is allowed to duplicate dictionary data.
      • User is allowed to make necessary additions or edits to dictionary data.
    • Individual User's Agreement ... Rights to use the EDR Dictionary in commercial products
      • User is allowed to duplicate dictionary data for use in commercial products.
      • User is allowed to directly or indirectly sell product incorporating dictionary data to a third party.
      • User is allowed to make necessary copies of data.

  2. Usage Fee

    • Basic User's Fee
        The price of every dictionary is 1,200,000 yen.

        This Basic User's Fee include Research User's Fee.

    • Commercial User's Fee
        The price of every dictionary is 1,200,000 yen.

        Commercial User's Fee shall be paid by Licensor to EDR beside Basic User's Fee when Licensor wishes to sell commercial products containing EDR Dictionary Data. Licensors are permitted to use parts or whole EDR Dictionary Data into products by paying Commercial User's Fee. Royalty Agreement, requiring product sales report, as required in previous years is no longer necessary.
        Cover address indicated below is available for Licensors to modify former Royalty Arrangement.

  • About the User's Agreement

    • Download the document 'EDR Electronic Dictionary User's Agreement'. Either fax or email the completed document to our offices and someone will contact you with a contract.
