vdif2k5

DESCRIPTION

"vdif2k5" converts VDIF format data to K5/VSSP format data.

SYNOPSIS

vdif2k5 vdiffile [options]
   or
vdif2k5 --version|--help

 where

vdiffile VDIF data file name
--version show program version
--help show how to execute
OPTIONS
-o k5name set K5 file name to be created (default: see below)
-d k5dir set directory for k5 file out (default: VDIF file directory). If k5name set by '-o' option includes directory, this option is ignored.
-fsampl fmhz set sampling frequency (MHz) (deflt=4)
-adbit adbit set # of AD conversion bit (deflt=1)
-1ch 5ch set K5 data to 1ch mode and pick up VDIF channel (starting at 1)
-4ch ch1 ch2 ch3 ch4
set K5 data to 4 channel mode and pick up VDIF 4 channels
-2bit mode set 2bit AD decode table
1:offset binary 0,1,2,3 (no conversion) (default)
2: Mark V standard 0,2,1,3
3: signed integer 1,0,2,3
-s soffset set offset time from data head (sec) (default : 0 )
in case of negative value: absolute value means skip over bytes

Naming rule for K5 file created
  1) '-o' option is not used (VDIF: original VDIF file name)
   4ch mode
      VDIF.k5a --- for group#1 (usually ch# 01-04)
      VDIF.k5b --- for group#2 (usually ch# 05-08)
      VDIF.k5c --- for group#3 (usually ch# 09-12)
      VDIF.k5d --- for group#4 (usually ch# 13-16)
   1ch mode
      VDIF.k5-NN --- where NN is channel # 01-16

  2) '-o' option is used
   case that # of K5 file is one
      k5name --- given by '-o' option
   case that # of K5 files is 2
      k5name.1 k5name.2
   case that # of K5 files is 4
      k5name.1 k5name.2 k5name.3 k5name.4
