This poster will show the Goddard Geophysical and Astronomic Observatory (GGAO) in Greenbelt, Maryland as a good model for a fiducial space geodetic research site. The GGAO is occupied by SLR, VLBI, GPS and PRARE. The GGAO has an extensive local survey control network that is continuously being improved using the best survey equipment and techniques. A main survey monument at the GGAO is also a Maryland HARN station and is a primary station in the regional geodetic network. This poster will also show how the footprint monuments at Fort Davis, Texas have aided in the delineation between local, regional, and large scale ground motions. The Tahiti site is occupied by SLR, GPS, DORIS, and PRARE.
