Fringes from Giga-bit VLBI system

CRL and Japanese VLBI group have succeeded to complete new 1G-bit VLBI system. We have found fringes from radio star. This system promise stable high-speed recording of total 1024M-bits per second with automatic exchange. Although there had been several progress in VLBI observation, only the backend capacity remained 256Mbit(K-4). This high sensitivity VLBI system will increase number of observation in each experiment. It also increases possible geodetic reference radio sources under same diameter telescope.
