The009th KARC Colloquium

The009th KARC Colloquium was ended. Thank you for the participation.

Date&Time From 1:30pm - 3:10pm, Jan 31 (Thu), 2002
Place KARC, Small-Meeting Room in the building No. 1 (2F)
588-2 Iwaoka, Iwaoka-cho, Nishi-ku, Kobe-city 651-2492
Lecturer(1)13:30-14:20 "Experimental quantum communication using pulsed homodyne detection"
Speaker Mr.Takuya Hirano
Abstract In contrast to classical communication, quantum communication exploits distinctive quantum properties such as uncertainty and quantum entanglement. In quantum communication, transmitting a qubit andsharing a quantum entanglement offer novel possibilities. In thistalk, we explain our experimental quantum cryptography using pulsed homodynedetection, and then our plan for a realization of pulsed quantum teleportation.
Lecturer(2)14:20-15:10 "Nonclassical light and its application in measurement and quantuminformation"
Speaker Jiangrui Gao (Institute of Opto-electronics, Shanxi University,P.R.China)
Abstract I will give a simple introduction about our Institute research works. My talk will focus on: A wavelength-tunable quantum correlated twin-beam and bright EPR beam were obtained respectivily with OPO. The frequency modulation (FM) spectroscopy of molecule Cs2 beyond SNL and quantum dense coding were demonstrated also experimentally with the nonclassical beams.
