Place Seminar room (25-304), No.4 Research Bldg. 3Fl. KARC
Lecturer “Reversible logic elements and cellular automata”
Speaker Kenichi Morita
(Prof. at Hiroshima University, Graduate School of Engineering)
Abstract eversibility in logic circuits and automata (computing machines) is closely related to physical reversibility. It will become more important in the future when we try to implement nano-scaled computing systems by using microscopic physical law directly. In this talk, we show there are many kinds of very simple universal reversible logic elements from which a computer can be constructed. We also show a few examples in which such elements can be embedded.
