Lecturer Applications of adaptive optics: From the Subaru telescope to a microscope
Speaker Dr. Masayuki Hattori,
(NIBB fellow, Spectrography and Bioimaging Facility,National Institute for Basic Biology:transferred from Adaptive Optics group of Hawaii Observatory)
Dr. Yosuke Tamada,
(Assistant Professor, Division of Evolutionary Biology,National Institute for Basic Biology)
Abstract Adaptive optics is a powerful tool in astronomy to significantly improve the resolution obtainable in telescope by compensating the turbulence of the atmosphere. The speakers will talk about new applications of this state-of-the-art technology to light microscope for compensating optical turbulence in the cells.
