| Abstract | Photon detectors using superconducting strips (SSPDs) have excellent features such as high detection efficiency over a wide wavelength range, low proposal counting rate, fast response, and high time resolution, and are used in various research fields including quantum technology. On the other hand, research and development for higher performance and sophistication is also being actively pursued. The speaker, Prof. Boris Korzh, has achieved excellent research results by developing a method to significantly reduce the time resolution in superconducting photon detectors, SSPD arrays for deep-space optical communication applications, and photon number discriminating SSPDs for quantum network applications. In this talk, he will introduce these efforts. |
