Knowledge-Language Grid Testbed

Knowledge-Language Grid Testbed is a platform for users to develop information services efficiently, by dynamically combining various information assets shared on the platform in the form of reusable, such as a Web archive containing more than 10 million Web pages, the world’s largest scientific database, sensing data, and universal communications technologies of information analysis, multilingual translation, and spoken language communication. By using this platform, as an example, it is able to produce and release data required by data curator, using programs to process data from multiple data sets automatically.

To allow the agile developments of information services through combining various data and programs, we are working on developing fast search of information assets, our own specification language, and the corresponding interpreters that enable users to combine information assets only by describing dependencies between input/output of data and programs. Moreover, Knowledge-Language Grid Testbed needs to realize a self-sustained expansion of available information assets to support a wide range of users. Thus we build ecosystem where users can provide their own information assets by themselves, and the more and more new assets are produced from other information assets.
