Tokyo Innovation Workshop on International AI Collaboration - Over 150 GPAI experts from around 40 countries gathered -

The GPAI Tokyo Expert Support Center will host the Tokyo Innovation Workshop on May 28-29, 2025. This international event will bring together leading AI experts and representatives from GPAI member and non-member countries around the world. The workshop will serve as a platform for in-depth discussions on frameworks for international collaboration that promote the effective, inclusive, and responsible use of AI.

The workshop is expected to welcome over 150 AI experts and stakeholders from over 40 countries. Discussions will focus on the following four key themes:
1. Interoperability of International AI Governance Frameworks
2. Multilingual and Multicultural AI
3. AI utilization in Global South and strengthening of domestic and global AI ecosystem
4. Open-Source AI

Participants will be divided into thematic groups to engage in deep-dive discussions on these topics.
