Report on the Tokyo Center’s Participation in the GPAI Plenary Meeting

From June 10 to 12, 2025, the GPAI Plenary Meeting was held at the OECD Conference Centre in Paris, France. Dr. HARAYAMA Yuko, Secretary General of the GPAI Tokyo Expert Support Center, participated in the meeting. This was the second plenary meeting since the integration of GPAI into the OECD and focused on reviewing the progress of the Workplan 2025 under the GPAI 2.0 framework, as well as discussing future activities.

On June 11, the three GPAI Expert Support Centers - Tokyo, Paris, and Montreal - presented updates on GPAI Associated projects. The Tokyo Center reported on the outcomes of the Tokyo Innovation Workshop held in May 2025, which received high praise from participants as a valuable opportunity where numerous innovative ideas were proposed.

In addition, the GPAI Secretariat provided updates on the overall progress of GPAI projects. It was reported that preparations are underway for the launch of the new project Agentic AI, with the Tokyo Center in charge alongside the OECD Secretariat.
