    Exhibiting at NICT Open House 2025 - Showcasing the SAFE Project’s Toolkit for the Safety and Assurance of Generative AI -

    On June 20-21, 2025, the GPAI Tokyo Expert Support Center participated in the “NICT Open House 2025” held at NICT Headquarters, and presented outcomes from the SAFE (Safety and Assurance of Generative AI) Project. The exhibit featured a comprehensive toolkit developed under the project to support policymakers, researchers, and developers in addressing the safety of general-purpose AI systems.

    The toolkit, which provides a structured overview of risks and mitigation measures for general-purpose AI - identified through collaboration with over 500 organizations worldwide - was showcased through engaging panels and digital displays designed for clarity and accessibility. Many visitors showed strong interest in the content.

    During the event, Ms. MURAKAMI Akiko, Director of the Japan AI Safety Institute (AISI), visited the Tokyo Center’s booth and received a briefing on the significance of the SAFE Project and potential uses of the toolkit.

    Over the two days, the booth welcomed approximately 120 visitors, contributed to a deeper understanding of the Tokyo Center’s activities and the outcomes of the SAFE Project.
