Optical systems are actively used in space activities such as remote sensing and flyer control technology. Optical communication systems are also expected to make a drastic growth in the future. For these systems, devices and materials have been studied, and the frequency ranges from THz to visible light or even ultra-violet.
The International Conference on Space Optical Systems and Applications (ICSOS) is intended to provide a forum for the exchange of information on the state-of-the-art development in these fields. The conference is supported by the COE in communications, NICT and the space R&D agency, JAXA, which are most suitable in Japan from the viewpoint of the assumed topics. The venue is located at one of the nicest spots in Tokyo. The Organizing Committee looks forward to seeing you in the conference, and making your visit a memorable and enjoyable one.
