Short Bio:
Tomohiro Sato is a data scientist particularly focusing on the atmospheric science such as air quality and gas emission. Satellite remote sensing is his major research approach. He obtained Doctor of Science from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2014 March with a research of deriving global ozone isotopic ratio using the satellite remote sensing. His study received JpSAC Young Scientist Award from the Japanese Society of Atmospheric Chemistry in 2017.

Short Bio:
Takayoshi Yamada is an atmospheric scientist and is currently responsible for the TEREX measurement development and retrieval algorithms. His research interests are centered on physics of Terahertz radiations in space and planetary atmosphere. Most of his work has focused on the terahertz radiative transfer simulation in the atmosphere of the Earth, Jupiter Icy moons, and Mars. Before becoming current position, he wrote a doctoral thesis “Development of radiative transfer model and data analysis for a THz remote sensing to reveal discharge phenomena and radiation processes in rarefied atmosphere between planet and space”

Short Bio:
Maho Nakagawa is an atmospheric scientist and is currently developing the TERa-hertz EXplorer (TEREX) sensor for Mars resource exploration mission on a piggy-back satellite. Her research interests are observation of absorption lines of a single gaseous water and molecular oxygen on Martian atmosphere and designing the TEREX sensor for mounting on a piggyback satellite with low cost.
Before becoming NICT, her research theme was the physical and chemical properties of atmospheric aerosols of the Earth. In addition, she was interested in the handling of equipment design, development, and measurement data.

Short Bio:
Suyun Wang is a researcher in the field of microwave remote sensing. She received the Ph.D. degree from Tohoku University in 2020 September with a thesis of “Fundamental Studies on Polarimetric and Interferometric Ground-Based SAR in Bistatic Configuration.”
Her current research interests include scattering mechanisms and modelling, system design, and measurement for Terahertz remote sensing.
Before joining NICT, her research topics include the development of ground-based synthetic aperture radar systems and algorithms, polarimetric radar calibration, polarimetric and interferometric SAR, and bistatic radar.

Akiko Kagawa is a scientist particularly focusing atmospheric chemical species. She obtained Doctor of Science from Nara Women's Univ. with ozone loss study using chemical model she developed. After the graduation she has been mainly studying in NICT about retrievals of atmospheric species from observation. About 14 papers have been published to date.
