Outline / Purpose / Methods / Results
The epithelial cells are tightly attached by the intercellular attachment device and form sheets with a regular cellular contour. This epithelial cell sheet covers the region of large biological compartments, such as the thoracic cavity and peritoneal cavity, in the macro, and It covers the lumen of the blood vessels, the intestine, and the uriniferous tubules in micro. Each compartment then forms a suitable microenvironment in and out of the organism by a variety of barrier functions. At that time, the apical membrane of epithelial cell sheets is structurally differentiated by formation of microvilli and cilia. And , at the same time, it is functionally differentiated by the integration of multifunctional channels and transporters. This project is the apical region of epithelial cells. It was established to understand the mechanism in which the structural and functional order around the microtubules is generated. It is a mathematical understanding of the structural hierarchy of the molecule-cell-tissue. This research group is responsible for identifying essential elements in vitro at the molecular level and the extraction of the essence of the essence of the self-organizing mechanism has been tried .
