Nano-scale Functional Assembly ICT Laboratory
The advancement of the optical communication system and its application to the short-range data communication strongly demand ultra-fast, low power consumption, small-size light control devices. The project aims at high functionality and the integration of the light control elements by combination of organic materials having high light control functions and nano-photonic structures using inorganic materials having high refractive indices together. Also, research and development of fundamental technologies controlling organic-inorganic interface and structure at atomic and molecular level are curried out for creating high functionality of the devices and new functions of the materials.
